Morocco: Spring 2020

Join the Travelling Brush and discover the Berber, Arabian, and European cultural influences in Morocco as we paint and explore this fascinating country. Our tour starts in Casablanca with a visit to Rick’s Cafe, immortalized in the 1942 film, before heading to the historic City of Fes, home of the oldest medieval medina in the world. Our tour continues over the Middle Atlas mountains and into the Sahara for a few days in the desert, where our art will be inspired by the surreal landscapes. For the final stop on our trip we visit the former imperial city of Marrakech before flying home.

Southern India: Fall 2020

Our painting tour of South India begins at the majestic Hotel Bangalore with visits to the Sultan’s Palace and Cubbon Park’s 3000 acres of tranquility. After brushing up on our painting techniques in this retreat setting, we head to Mysore to see the three holy rivers of Kaveri, Lokapavani, & Hemavati, and visit the Maharajah’s Palace. Our tour continues to Cochin, the commercial capital of Kerala with one of the finest natural harbours in the world, and then to Kovalam and its miles of white sand by the boundless blue waters of the Arabian Sea. Kovalam is a short distance to “Lands End”, the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula, where the waters of the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea meet.
