Reha is a talented artist who was born in Istanbul and moved to Canada in 2008. His passion for painting began at a young age, and he was fortunate to have a mother who is also an artist. Reha has always aimed for realism in his paintings, and enjoys working with a variety of mediums. As a child, he had dreams of becoming an astronomer or an archaeologist, but ultimately decided to pursue astronomy in university. While he found it fascinating, Reha realised that it was not his true passion.
Instead, he continued to pursue his love of art, taking courses in Photoshop and 3D design. He fell in love with matte painting and has been working in the digital media industry since 2005. Over the years, he has created promotional materials for major video game developers and publishers, as well as sports leagues such as the NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB.
In 2018, while visiting his parents, Reha discovered a new passion for watercolours. He has since applied to the Federation of Canadian Artists and won second place in his first show, the Annual International Representational Exhibition. Reha is currently working as a matte painter on animated TV series like My Little Pony and Spidey and His Amazing Friends. He is excited to continue exploring the world of watercolours and hopes to make it a permanent part of his artistic journey.
