Watercolour Foundations with Mark Glavina

Paper:  140 lb watercolour paper: 22” x 30” sheets or 11” x 15” pad/block

Brushes:  1” or ¾” flat, ½” angle brush, # 4 # 6 and # 10 round brush (Phoenix Nimbus)

Watercolour Palette (largest mixing area possible)

Sketchbook (for composition sketching and note-taking)

Pencils: 2B and HB

Erasers: Soft white or kneadable

Watercolour Drawing Board (or stretcher board)

2 small Water Containers (yogourt/ice cream/coffee can)

Roll of Paper Towel or toilet paper

Tape: 1” Masking Tape or 2″ Butcher Tape

Masking fluid (optional)

Paints

Choose one or two pigments from each group of colours. To get the most benefit from these classes, please have at least one colour pigment from each group.

Group 1: Alizarin Crimson, Rose Madder, Permanent Rose

Group 2: Cadmium Red Medium, Vermilion, Permanent Red

Group 3: French Ultramarine, Winsor Blue Red Shade, Cobalt Blue

Group 4: Prussian Blue, Phthalo Blue, Cerulean Blue

Group 5: Aureolin, Lemon Yellow, Winsor Yellow, Hansa Yellow

Group 6: Cadmium Yellow Pale, New Gamboge, Naples Yellow

Other/Optional: Burnt Sienna, Viridian, Chinese White, Payne's Gray, Neutral Tint
