  • Alizarin Crimson or Quin. Red/Crimson
  • Cadmium Red Medium or Light
  • Lemon Yellow or Hansa Yellow Light
  • Cadmium Yellow Medium
  • Phthalo Blue green shade, Prussian Blue, or Cerulean blue
  • Cobalt Blue, French Ultramarine Blue, or Phthalo blue red shade
  • Titanium White
  • Black or Payne’s Gray


           Burnt Sienna

           Van Dyke Brown

           Dioxazine Purple

           Sap Green, Viridian, or Emerald Green



A variety of stretched canvases, canvas boards, or canvas paper (at least 11”x14”)



  • Assortment (4-6 brushes) of natural and synthetic brushes:  get a mix of sizes and shapes (Flat, Bright, and Round)
  • Palette knife
  • Rags
  • Large flat palette (paper palettes are fine)
  • Sketchbook and pencils (for note-taking, composition, and sketching)
  • Charcoal

Acrylics Only:

Acrylic gel medium

Oils Only:

Odourless thinner

Linseed Oil

1 or 2 Containers (a jam-jar or something else that seals tightly) for thinner/medium


****All Classes MUST be paid for in advance to confirm a spot.  Cancellation must be done in person or by email at least one week prior to the beginning of the class.  No refund will be given to students dropping out after the class has commenced.
