Custom Framing Policy
Custom framing allows you to frame your artwork in the unique way that perfectly suits both it and your home, choosing exactly the frame, mats, glass, and mounting that you want at a price to fit your budget. The price of Custom Framing varies widely, with the frame and size being the largest component determining the overall price. Frames can range from simple and inexpensive “basic black” to more costly elaborate hand-carved and gilded frames imported from Italy. We stock several kinds of glass, from regular to UV to Museum Glass, and each one is a different price. With all these factors, there are millions of combinations of moulding, glass, matting, mounting methods, hardware and conservation techniques that can effect the price of your frame job. Amidst all thee options, we are here to guide your choice, making sure we find the combination that will best suit your style as well as your budget.
Our framing staff will offer you their expert advice, but ultimately the way your frame your artwork is your choice! That said, if our frame consultant steers you wrong, we will fix the problem. Our staff are well trained and have your best interest as their top priority, working within store guidelines for pricing, artwork handling, and advising you on the design choices for any framing challenge. Some of our customers have different ideas from our consulting staff and we fully support creating something unique for you family home, but we can only guarantee your frame choices if it follows our guidelines and our staff signs off on your final choice.
We are happy to assist you with the restoration of artwork, posters, and prints, and resurface, stain, or re-guild your old frames to bring them back to life. Although we do not claim to be art conservators, we have handled a wide range of artwork from torn canvas, artwork cleaning, to re-mounting or re-varnishing damages paintings. Due to the nature of this work each restoration job requires special handling, and in some cases we may ask you for special written permission to execute whatever procedure we undertake without a guarantee.
We take pride in every job we complete and are always open to discuss any and all of our framing policies with our clients directly.
We look forward to serving you.
